Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a modern, evidence-based approach designed to help clients move forward positively without dwelling on past issues. It’s particularly effective for anxiety-related conditions, which can have a significant impact on both mental and physical well-being.

Stress and anxiety don’t just affect how we feel emotionally—they can also lead to poor sleep, digestive issues, low energy, chronic pain, and immune system imbalances. By using a combination of solution-focused conversation and hypnosis, this approach helps clients shift their mindset, reduce stress, and regain control over their thoughts and behaviours.

Unlike traditional therapies that explore past traumas or negative experiences, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is about where you want to be, not where you’ve been. The focus is on making real, lasting change in a creatively short space of time, using the brain’s natural ability to rewire and create healthier thought patterns.

What to Expect

Sessions combine talk therapy with hypnosis, a natural, relaxed state that helps the brain create new, more helpful thought patterns.

The average treatment plan is 6 – 8 sessions. Ideally sessions should be weekly for the duration of treatment.

We also offer one-off intensive smoking and vaping cessation sessions.

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is simply a natural state of focused attention and deep relaxation, much like the moments just before you drift off to sleep or get lost in a daydream. It’s a comfortable and pleasant experience —a bit like guided relaxation —where the mind becomes more open to positive suggestions that support change.

In Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, hypnosis is used to reinforce the progress made in each session. The brain is incredibly adaptable, and by calming the nervous system and embedding positive suggestions at a subconscious level, clients can begin to shift unwanted thoughts, behaviours, and responses in a way that feels natural and achievable.

What Hypnosis is NOT?

  • It’s not mind control—clients remain fully aware and in control.
  • It’s not a quick fix—like any therapeutic approach, it takes commitment and consistency to see lasting results.
  • Ultimately, hypnosis is a powerful tool for change, helping clients feel more calm, confident, and in control of their thoughts and actions as they work towards their goals.
